The Brewery Dalešice – Place of Meeting, Exploring and Reviving Traditions and Crafts

The innovative use of the cultural monument of the Dalešice Brewery consists in reviving the monument by modernising the existing brewery tour thanks to interactive multimedia elements with the aim to make the brewery museum more attractive to its visitors. The revitalization of this cultural heritage will be completed by bringing various cultural and educational events related to the brewing industry, traditions and festivities to the premises of the brewery.

Concretely, a new exhibition will be built thanks to the innovative libretto of the brewery tour introducing interactive elements, with potential to incite visitors to experience the exhibition from different perspectives. The uniqueness of the exhibition will lie in presentation of the brewing industry, focusing on traditional crafts and roles involved in the beer production process.

The innovated brewery tour will be accompanied by well-tailored cultural activities, fairs and performances co-organized in cooperation with the local theatre association. Furthermore, the project will foster activities aimed at promoting community life and encounters in the area.

In order to strengthen the scope and impact of the project, we will be cooperating with the partner from Iceland - Technical Museum in Akureyri, whose experts will contribute to the concept and design of the interactive brewery tour. They will bring also insights in terms of the traditional crafts and festivities held in Iceland, with focus on similarities and contrasts between the Czech and Icelandic ones. In this context, the role of the Icelandic partner is to provide assistance, guidance and consultations, e.g., when it comes to creation of attractive and original cultural events´ programme. The additional objective of this international cooperation is to address visitors of different target groups and to present the attractiveness of the cultural monument in its complexity to a wider public.
